Tizor’s Mantra is the only Database Monitoring and Protection Solution to offer Three Way Data Auditing via the Mantra Enterprise Local Audit Architecture. In addition to providing real-time, policy-based auditing of network traffic, Mantra also provides agentless and agent-based local auditing--offering enterprises the choice of monitoring local access to data in the way that best suits their organizations local auditing and privileged user monitoring needs.
Mantra Enterprise Network-based Database Monitoring and Mantra Local Audit Architecture are flexible enough to addresses complex heterogeneous environments including the ability to mix and match approaches for different environments.
Three Way Data Auditing Highlights:
- Mantra Data Auditing and Protection monitors, reports and alerts on all critical data activity in relational databases, file servers and mainframe applications. Policy-driven and very high performance, Mantra audits over 50,000 transactions per second with no impact on networks or applications.
- Mantra agent-less local audit does not require the installation of agents on servers and has almost no performance impact on databases. The agent-less approach provides complete visibility into encrypted connections to the databases.
- Mantra local agent monitors all local activity regardless of how the users connect to the database. The Mantra agent monitors local loopback connections as well as other connections, such as shared memory and named pipes, without requiring changes to database systems.
Both the agent-less and agent-based approaches have no material impact on database performance. They each work in concert with Mantra’s network-level monitoring by using a common policy system and present audit information gathered by any of the methods in fully integrated reports and alerts.
